The Provincial Government of Laguna, through the One Stop Migration Resource Center under the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO), conducted a livelihood training seminar for selected displaced OFWs of Pila, Laguna on February 23-24, 2022.

The two-day “Seminar on Mushroom Production and Processing” was held at the St. Therese Colleges, in coordination with the Agricultural Training Institute-Region IV-A and the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) Siniloan Campus.

The participants were taught the basic knowledge about mushrooms, how to cultivate them and serve as source of additional income.

Provincial PESO Manager Ms. Mary Jane Banasihan-Corcuera attended the said event and shared the news that the mushroom training group will have the opportunity borrow the tools and equipment to start their own mushroom production for income and livelihood opportunities.
