The Provincial Government of Laguna under Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez provided financial assistance to distressed repatriated OFWs from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) who were forced to go home because of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Through the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PPESO) a total of 21 OFWs received Php3,000.00 each, personally given by Governor Ramil L. Hernandez on February 8, 2021 at the provincial capitol Time Plaza.

The PPESO, known for its efficiency in assisting jobless people, was tapped to enact the said financial assistance program.  The office was tasked to carefully select qualified beneficiaries who were sent back from KSA and avail of said assistance from the provincial government.

Gov. Hernandez remains true to his commitment to help his constituents during the current health crisis, especially repatriated OFWs who have to immediately find jobs to continue supporting their families.
